At the event, sustainability was reflected in ecological and social choices. Catering, decoration and printed materials were provided by partners chosen with an emphasis on ecological and social values. Using local actors reduced the environmental impact and contributed to sustainable development

NCGP2024
The Nordic Congress of General Practice 2024 brought together more than 1,000 general practitioners from 21 countries in Turku, Finland, in June 2024. The Congress was a hybrid event, offering the possibility to participate both on-site at Logomo and virtually via a custom-built digital platform designed by Certia Events. The event highlighted the principles of sustainable events through local partners and eco-friendly solutions. The warm atmosphere and the variety of ways to participate were particularly appreciated.

From planning the event to the aftermath
Certia Events was responsible for the overall practical implementation of the event, including project management, marketing and communication, hybrid implementation, abstract management and the social programme.
Hybrid events in numbers
NCGP2024 attracted over 1,000 participants from 21 countries and offered a varied scientific programme: 8 keynote lectures, 31 workshops, 26 abstract sessions, 15 symposia and a poster exhibition.
During the Congress days, the livestream was viewed 1,732 times, with 173 unique viewers.
The best of Turku
The Congress started with a welcome ceremony at the City Theatre and continued in Logomo. The dinner and summer party took participants along the Aura River to the atmospheric setting of the Ruissalo shipyard. QR-coded event passes made it possible to explore Turku and its surroundings by public transport.
