The Certia Events team has been strengthened with two new professionals: Krista Karsikas and Johanna Rämänen have recently joined the team in their new roles. Krista will be working as an Event Producer, and Johanna as a Marketing Specialist.
Krista brings with her extensive expertise in planning and producing various types of events. In her new role, she will focus particularly on coordinating and executing client events, as well as developing event production processes to make them even smoother. Her long-standing experience in event production has given her a solid understanding of how to create events that serve both participants and organizers.
“I have long dreamed of the opportunity to work more with congresses and international events. In my previous job at Idea Group, I focused heavily on B2B events, which have taught me a lot about holistic project management and customer-oriented planning. I am now looking forward to developing my skills and production processes and taking on new challenges”, Krista says.
Johanna Rämänen, who has started as a Marketing Specialist, will in her new role focus on communication and marketing tasks for clients, as well as developing Certia Events’ marketing communications. In addition, Johanna will support abstract management for scientific conferences. As a former Marketing Coordinator at Åbo Akademi University, Johanna knows the university world well.
“I’m looking forward to putting my skills to good use and learning more about the events industry. At Åbo Akademi University, I already got a taste of it through the Street Festival, the opening party of the academic year, which was organised in cooperation with Aboa Events. Already back then, I was impressed by Aboa Events’ (now Certia Events) professionalism and seamless cooperation. Being part of the same team now and supporting event communication and marketing is truly a dream come true,” Johanna says.

How was your first week?
“The first week has gone by really quickly, as I’ve familiarized myself with the systems, tried to get into upcoming projects, and of course gotten to know my new colleagues. It hasn’t been too hectic, which is positive, as I’ve had time to take in everything calmly,” Krista reflects.
“It’s been really nice to meet everyone at Certia’s Turku office. I appreciate that we here get to use both Finnish and Swedish. Our team has welcomed us warmly, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead,” Johanna sums up.
